Thank you for contributing your time and talents to our community. Our goal is to make high-quality photos from games and events available to our Morgan student athletes, their families and fans. When you submit your creative works to Morgan Sports Network, you allow them to be discovered by thousands of monthly visitors to our website.
We've made the process of submitting photos to Morgan Sports Network simple. If you have any questions, please contact us.
We will attibute you as the photographer of the photos you submit.
Photo Sharing Guidelines
- Submit the good stuff. Our goal is to provide quality over quantity. Sporting events are dynamic and fast-paced, and many of the photos we take don't quite "turn out". Rather than submitting every photo, please submit the ones you are proud of.
- Share the love. Look for ways to capture photos of as many of the participants as you can, rather than only focusing on one or two key athletes.
- Get wide. Remember all the non-action photo opportunities as the athletes get ready, engage with each other on the sidelines, interact with their coaches, etc.
How To Submit Photos
There are two ways to submit photos to be included on the Morgan Sports Network website.
Option 1: Send us the URL of your online photo album
If you publish your images online, just email the URL to the albums you would like included to info@morgansportsnetwork.com. Please include the name and date of the event, as well as the name of the photographer. We will link to the online photo album, so only use this method if you intend to keep the photos available online long term.
Option 2: Share to our Google Photos account
If you choose this option, you won't need to host an online album - we'll take care of that for you.
- Upload your photos to Google Photos. If you have a Gmail account, you already have Google Photos. If not, you can create an account for free. If you are sharing from a mobile device or tablet, get the Google Photos App for iOS or Android.
- Put the photos into a Google Photos album. Give the album a descriptive name (for example, "Girls Varsity Tennis vs. Ben Lomand August 17 2022" is much better than "Girls Tennis")
- Share the album with Morgan Sports Network. Within Google Photos, go to the album you created and share it to info@morgansportsnetwork.com. We will automatically be notified when you share it, so there's no need to contact us.
That's it! After you share your photos, we will leave a comment back to you that we've received and processed your photos. After we've processed the photos, you are free to delete them from your Google Photos account, if you don't want to store them there permanently.
After you share your photos with us, we will review them and then publish them on our website. By sharing your photos with us, you give us permission to use and publish them on Morgan Sports Network's website, social media accounts and other distribution channels.
Frequent Questions
If I share through Google Photos, do I have to keep my photos on Google Photos forever?
No. After we confirm to you that we've processed your photos, you can delete them from your Google Photos account to free up space or if you don't want to keep them there long term. We will import a copy of your photos to our own Google Photos account, so we'll have them even if you remove them from your own account.
What about copyright?
You still own the copyright to the photos you share with Morgan Sports Network. By sharing your photos with us, you allow us to link to them from the Morgan Sports Network's website and social media accounts, and you also allow others to use and download the photos for personal, non-commercial use.
When we publish your photos, we include a note that users who wish to use your photos for commercial purposes should first contact us for instructions. We will forward such requests to you to make proper arrangements, at your discretion.
What about photo credits?
We will include your name as the photographer to any album that contains photos from you. Additionally, if you'd like, you can add a comment in each photo description to indicate it was from you (i.e. "Photographer: John Doe"). We also love to give shout-outs to our photographers during our live streams, so tune in and listen for your name!
Is there a deadline for submitting my photos?
We don't have deadlines, but our athletes and families love seeing your photos as soon as they can! Of course, it may take you a bit of time to process and upload your photos, but know that our student athletes are repeatedly smashing the refresh button to see if your awesomeness has been uploaded yet. 😊
